Hailing from Belgium, Laurie moved to London at 16 to study Musical Theatre at Arts Educational. Upon graduating she performed in various musicals including the original West End production of Disney's Beauty and The Beast in which she appeared as a plate and a napkin!...She decided to step away from dancing cutlery and returned to her studying to complete a post grad course in acting.

It was while playing a show girl in Keeler at Upstairs at the Gatehouse, that she discovered the world of burlesque and at the end of her first burlesque class with the fabulous Miss Polly Rae's, to her absolute delight, she was invited to audition for her Hurly Burly Troupe (www.hurlyburlyuk.co.uk). She has been a Hurly Burly Girly since September 2007.

Her other burlesque mentors are the wonderful Jo King and the sensational Dusty Limits who took her under his tarnished wings!!
